Emeritus Professor Ian Shaw DSc, PhD, FRCPath is an experienced toxicologist and science communicator held in high esteem nationally and internationally.

Ian Shaw has 45 years’ experience as a toxicologist. His expertise ranges from mechanistic, through clinical and forensic to regulatory toxicology. He is an enthusiastic science communicator writing for newspapers, magazines and regularly appearing on radio and TV. He was awarded a DSc (Bath, 2019) for his international contribution to toxicology, food safety and science communication and elected Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists (2009) for his contribution to toxicology research.
